As of March 10, 2011, we had eight technicians engaged in research and development activities. These technicians monitor quality control at our production facilities to ensure that the processing, packaging and distribution of our milk products result in high quality premium milk products that are safe and healthy for customers. These technicians also pursue methods and techniques to improve the taste and quality of our milk products and to evaluate new milk products for further production based upon changes in consumer tastes, trends and the introduction of competitive products by other milk producers.
Feihe is always committed to providing our customers with high end infant formula suitable for Chinese babies. In 2010, we have successfully launched AstroBaby, a product developed in accordance with the ‘gold standard’ of breast milk. We are the first infant formula Company completed clinical feeding test. The test results indicated that the performance of AstroBaby is closer to Chinese mothers’ breast milk in terms of babies’ growth, immunity, intelligence and digestive system.
Feihe also undertook two National Dairy Technological Projects:
- Feihe hold the program of ”twelfth five-year Plan“ from the Ministry of Science , focusing on research and industrialized crucial technology of milk base and cheese processing.
- Feihe undertook the national 863 program and will be assisting with the topic of “research and development of promoting the growth and development of fortified foods” for special/medical infant formula. Feihe is the only dairy company selected into this topic.
